Mary Ann Liscio spends summer months in Point judith, RI painting the local salt marshes, changing skies and profusion of wild flowers.  Winters she works in her NY studio experimenting with sculptural floral designs and other studio subjects.

 A pressure filled corporate career kept Mary Ann from her passion for years.  Now working 100% of her time painting and studying the wonder of natural subjects and the ever changing effects of light and weather on her New England region, she continually challenges herself to master her craft.   Her sculptural approach floral topis pulls the viewer into the organic free moving backgrounds and deep shadows. 

  Mary Ann admires the work of the American tonalist painters of the 1900's and strives to bring this lyrical expression of light into her work.  She studies regularly in workshops and thrives on experimentation with materials and methods. 

Paintings of her favorite topics fill her NY studio.  Self taught, there is not a day that passes without her sketching, painting, sculpting  or studying art and artists of the world.
